Who We Are
VCCCUL started as a discussion group in September 1973 by a group of Custom workers. The first meeting to form the Credit Union held on 25th May 1974 at the Customs House Bota with 22 members in attendance.
The shares savings mobilised during this meeting stood at 43 500FCFA. By 18/01/1975 membership rose to 81 and shares/savings to 1 018 000 FCFA. By 1978 the union was able to grant loans up to 6 544 000 FCFA and realised a turn over of 1 145 427FCFA.
